Our Founder's Journey
LaunEX was founded by Greg Frommer, a geology graduate from The University of Cincinnati. With nothing but an old truck and a phone, he began his career working as a wellsite geologist in the Permian Basin of West Texas. There he lived on oil rigs working 12 hours a day 7 days a week.
After one year, he was able to pay off his loans but was laid off and found a job working for a startup developing the first fully electric delivery truck for USPS. Although short-lived, he was promoted twice and even won awards for innovating ways to instruct and manufacture. However, this was also short-lived as he wasn't fulfilled.
Longing for a more balanced life, he went back to the fields but, this time, as a Floorhand. The work was grueling but enabled him the time off to travel the world! However, Greg always felt the strong magnetic pull towards his beloved city of Cincinnati. Saving all he could knowing his time there was limited; he quit Oct. 2023 in pursuit of entrepreneurship.
LaunEX was founded in March of 2024 and has since changed a lot! Initially, offering residential laundry services to servicing some of Cincinnati's top hotels. Months later, another division was added to service equine laundry for the tri-state region.
